2019-2024 GMC Sierra Accessories & Parts
The GMC Sierra is generally regarded as a clone of the Silverado with slight variations. 2019-2024, however, marks the biggest deviation from the Silverado. The two major differences are in the bed. The box itself is made from carbon fiver composite as opposed to the Silverado’s steel bed. The Sierra does share the reinforced, steel frame, making it 10% stronger than the 2018 Sierra. Overall the 2019-2024 Sierra is 360 lbs. lighter than the previous generation, mostly thanks to the aluminum hood, tailgate, and doors.
The second major difference between the 2019-2024 Sierra from the 2019 Silverado is the tailgate itself. The Silverado’s tailgate is electronically controlled, and so is the Sierra’s. However, the Sierra’s tailgate has a few party tricks. The rear portion of the tailgate has its own set of hinges. It can bend inward (if you have a long piece of cargo, you can flip the portion up to serve as a stopper), and it can also bend outwards. When bent outwards, another portion of the tailgate flips down, creating a convenient step.
The sub-models available for the 2019-2024 Sierra are the SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, and the Elevation. Consider the Elevation the off-road equivalent. The X31 package is also an off-roading package. Engines available include the 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8, 2.7L 4-cylinder turbo, and later in the model year the 3.0L inline six, turbo diesel. The maximum payload capacity for the 2019-2024 Sierra is 12,200.
